The objective of this course is to introduce the participant to the basic skills required for recreational mountain biking.
The course is set over six hours, this can be broken down in to two session of three hours :
Bike set-up
Helmet fitting
Rules of the trail
Body position and balance
Negotiating obstacles
Climbing techniques
Braking techniques
Turning techniques
Trail obstacles and techniques
Hints and tips
Mountain Bike skills (intermediate).
This course utilises the skills learnt in ‘beginner' to further the participants riding or to further the skills of those already proficient at mountain bike trail riding.

Negotiating larger trail obstacles
Climbing techniques (steep / loose climbs)
